Pressure-relieving devices for fluids.-In water jackets or water-jacketted parts, such as the cylinder or induction pipe of an internal combustion engine, bursting by frost is prevented by forming an annular portion of the cylindrical wall C of elastic, non-rigid, of flexible material, such as rubber or waterproof fabric, which yields under internal pressure when the water freezes. In the example shown A<3> and A<4> indicate the inlet and outlet of the water jacket A.
