Abstract

Cells; connections. -A high tension battery of the LeclanchÚ type comprises a case a divided by partitions c into a number of compartments, the walls of the casing and partitions extending above the cell covers e to prevent creeping. The upper edges of the partitions and casing may be grooved, or ribbed. The cells are connected by copper strips h which are curved to clip on to the electrodes, the centre parts being arched as shown at h in Fig. 1.
