Abstract

249,375. Borglum, M. June 22, 1925. Order apparatzis.-A signal for use on motor vehicles comprises a figure 6 having selectively movable, arms 8, 9 and movable eves 15. When actuated, the eyes move in the direction of the arm which has been raised. The arms are pivoted at 10 and one or the other is rocked upwards by a bar 35 mounted on a pivoted link 25 the lower end of which carries an armature 26. The link 25 is rocked when one of the electromagnets 27, 28 is energized, controlling switches - 38, 39 being provided. The eyes 15 are moved at the same time by the forked end 20 of an arm 22 carried by the pivot sleeve 23 of the link 25. The fork 20 engages eyelets 19 in the back of the eyeballs. The eyes are made of glass or translacent material and have coloured or opaque. pupils 18. Contacts 12, 13 are arranged to close the circuit of a lamp 14 when an arm 8 or 9 is raised. A lamp 30 is also provided.
