Abstract
249,366. Jackson, A. H. May 25, 1925. Controlling, actuating; controllers, multiple rocking-bar.-In a motor controller of the type comprising a cam shaft operating separate contactors for cutting out resistance or changing connections, the cam shaft 2 is fitted with a slidable sleeve 3 on which 'are mounted a group of cams 4 for operat. ing forward and reversing contactors 5, 6. The sliding movement is produced by a pivoted fork lever 7 acted upon by two solenoids 13, 14 which, in an electric train, are connected to train wires 15, 16 leading to a, master controller. The control circuits pass through sleeve contacts 19, 20 to a pilot motor 24. A notched interlocking disc 25 prevents movement of the sleeve unless the cam shaft is in the " off " position.
