Abstract

248,548. Pritchard, J. Feb. 21, 1925. Showcases.-A movable tray or platform 4 in a show case &c. is adapted to be withdrawn by a weight 15 on breakage of the glass. The tray is carried by rollers on rails 9 and part of the roller-carrying brackets 5 embraces the rail. A bolt 12 secures the tray to the glass on breakage of which the tray is withdrawn and tilted by the cord 13 and attached weight. In a modification, the tray is retained by means of a hook on a pivoted lever which is actuated to release the tray by breakage of the glass. The lever is pivoted by a collar on a glass rod fixed to brackets &c. on the frame.
