Abstract

248,357. Raymond Bros. Impact Pulverizer Co., (Assignees of Critts, J., and Vogel, TV. H.). March 2, 1925, [Convention date]. Impact pulverizers. - A ring 31, adjustable from outside the pulverizing mill in a direction along the main shaft 4 relatively to a rotary regulator 27, is provided to control the size of the outlet from the beater chamber 2 to the fan chamber 3 of an impact pulverizer to regulate the fineness of the pulverized material. The means shown for adjusting the ring 31 comprise screws 38, mounted in lugs on the main casing bearing against a lug 37 on the ring 3 to turn the ring. This movement is transformed into motion along the shaft by fixed projections or bolts 35 on the main casing riding in inclined slots 34 in the periphery of the ring 31.
