Abstract

248,033. Kirkpatrick, S. M. Nov. 1, 1924. Composite bricks.-Aluminous cement is mixed with rubber latex which has been vulcanized or merely mixed with vulcanizing materials, and the paste is poured into moulds and subjected to pressure to form bricks &c. Composite bricks are formed by pouring in successive layers containing varying proportions of cement. For example, a slab may consist of four layers containing respectively 11¢ lbs., 6“ lbs., 5 lbs., and 6“ lbs. to 1 gal. of latex. The bottom layer may be of pure concrete.
