Abstract

247,419. Stirk., J., G. March 25, 1925. Controllers, restraining.-Contactors for automatically reversing electric motors are operated by electromagnets C<1>, C<2> and are restrained by coils R<1>. R<2> energized by the back electromotive force of the motor RM. A switch S directs current to the contactor magnets alternately. The restraining coils may be wound on the operating magnets. Diagrams of the invention applied to Ward Leonard control systems are given in the Specification. Specification 143,980 is referred to.
