Abstract

246,309. Mound, C. Jan. 28, 1925. Rack stands.-A folding cake stand comprises a central pillar 1 to which a number of trays 5, arranged in two groups, are hinged, the trays of each group being connected by a light rod 8 pivotally attached to the edges of the trays and adapted to rest upon the ground when the trays are in a horizontal position. The rods 8 are secured together by a hook 10 and eye 11 when the trays are turned upwards to lie against the pillar 5. Blocks, secured to the undersides of the trays, are adapted to abut against the pillar when the trays are horizontal. The top of the pillar may be provided with a cross piece having a handle or with a tray 3 having handles 12.
