Abstract

245,758. Chemical Works, formerly Sandoz. Jan. 6, 1925, [Convention date]. Azo dyes are produced which contain in the aryl nuclei one or more glycolether or glycerol. ether groups but no sulphonic or carboxylic groups. They may be obtained by coupling diazotized aminoarylglycolethers or aminoarylglycenrolethers with the usual components. They are especially suitable for dyeing cellulose esters, particularly the acetate, and when a diazotizable amino group is present the dyeings may be diazotized and developed in the usual manner. Specifications 197,809, 200,873, 204,280, [Class 15 (ii), Dyeing &c, Processes &c. for], and 212,029 are referred to.
