Abstract

Strainers and filters.-A bucket-shaped vessel 1 having a looped handle 11 and a downwardly extending flange 3 is provided in the centre of its concave bottom with an internally threaded ring 4 secured by a flanged tubular pin 5. A domeshaped gauze 6 is detachably secured by lugs 8 over the discharge opening. An outlet pipe 9 is detachably mounted in the ring 4 and a stopcock may be fitted so that when the pipe 9 is removed, the vessel may be used for carrying liquids.
