Abstract

243,118. Job, A. S. June 18, 1925. Brushes combined with soap holders; sheaths and cases; bristles, bridles for. - A shaving brush comprises an outer tubular section 5, containing a stick of soap 6, internally screw-threaded to receive an inner tubular section 4 with a top 4<a> of which serves to project the soap from the member 5. The brush stock 9 is reversibly secured to the screwed lower end of the section 4 by a knurled nut 10. The upper end 5a of the section 5 is turned inwardly to constitute a resilient gripping means for the stick of soap and is provided with a cap. The brush is provided with a rubber ring 11 by which the bristles are drawn together when housed within the section 5. In a modification the section 4 slides within the section 5, a locking screw maintaining the parts in position. The section 4 may be formed longer to provide a receptacle for a tube of tooth paste and a short handled toothbrush, a sponge or other toilet requisite.
