This invention relates to shaving brushes.

An object of the invention is to provide a shaving brush, the handle or grip of which will be composed of nesting receptacles for separate sticks of shaving soap so that should the initial supply become exhausted, the bristle end of the brush may be unscrewed and the auxiliary soap supply then will become available for use inan emergency.

A further object of the invention is to provide a shaving brush, the handle or grip of which is equipped with a container for a double suction cup, which container is also equipped with a mirror, the suction cup'being adapted to be applied to the side of the container and to a suitable support for mounting the mirror for use while shaving.

A further object is to provide a shaving brush in which the bristle component will be pointed or conical so as to provide a wedgeshaped terminal, which may be used for lathering the upper lip without getting the lather upon the mouth or nose.

A still further object is to provide a device of the character stated which will be neat and attractive in appearance, will be sanitary in use, and will occupy but relatively small space so as to be conveniently stored or carried in a traveling bag. v

"With the above and other objects in view the invention consists in certain novel details of construction and combinations of parts hereinafter fully described and claimed, it being understood that various modifications may be resorted to within the scope of the appended claims without departing from the spirit or sacrificing any of the advantages of the invention.

1n carrying out the invention, I provide the handle component of the shaving brush with preferably three separable containers 11, 12 and 13 telescoping or nesting one within the other, as best shown in Fig. 2.

The bristle component 14 is preferably formed of badger hair, although other suitable material may be used, and the bristles are confined at the base in a compact, non-separable mass by means of a ring 15, which preferably is formed of the same material as the containers. The ring is preferably provided with external screw threads 16 which engage internal screw threads 17 formed on the "uppermost container 11.

The intermediate container 12 is provided in the bottom with a mirror 18 and the lowermost container 13 is also provided in the bottom with a mirror 19.

The intermediate container 12 is adapted to contain a shaving stick 20 of soap sufficient for a months shave, or about thirty shaves. The uppermost container 11 is also adapted to contain a shaving stick 21 of soap, to be used as an emergency supply' should the initial supply in the intermediate container 10 become exhausted. By simply unscrewing the ring 15, access may be had to the emergency shaving stick 21. r

' By now referring to Fig. 2, it will be seen that a double suction cup 22 is housed within the container 13. Prior to shaving, the container 13 may be removed and the suction cup applied to one side thereof, whereupon the free cup of the double suction cup may be applied to a wall or other support to sustain the mirror 19 within the line of vision of the shaver.

By now referring to Fig. 4:, it will be seen that the bristle component 23 is formed pointed or conical, as shown at 24, at the tip, so that the point may be used to apply lather to the upper lip accurately without getting the lather in the nose or mouth. The bristle component is preferably formed as an entirety of badger hair. The base ends of the bristles are compressed into a firm compact bundle and confined by a cap 25, which may be vformed of rubber, spun aluminum, or other desired material. The cap is receivable in a socket 26 formed in a suitable grip 27 which preferably is equipped at the end with a mirror 28. v

From the above, it will be seen that there is embodied in a single handle of a shaving brush both a main supply and a reserve supply of shaving soap, both being arranged in a small compact, neat appearing handle, which will result in economy of space, particularly to a traveling man.

Having thus described the invention, I

claim 1. A shaving brush comprising a bristle component, a handle component, said handle component comprising a plurality of nesting containers, one or" said containers be ng adapted to obtain a main supply of shaving soap, and the other of said containers being adapted to contain an auxiliary supply of shaving soap, and a ring securing the base portions of the bristle component together and threaded into the last named container to form a closure therefor.

2. A. shaving brush compr sing a bristle component, a plurality of nesting containers,

a ring surrounding the base of the bristle component and threaded intothe uppermost of said containers to form a closure therefor,

and a mirror carried by said lowermost container, said uppermost container being adapted to contain a shaving stick, the next adjacent container to said uppermost container being also adapted to contain a shaving stick, said uppermost container and said next adjacent container being adapted to coact in forming a handle for the bristle component when said lowermost container is detached for use as a mirror.

3..A shaving brush comprising a bristle component, upper intermediate and lower containers nesting one within the other and constituting a handle component, said upper and saidintermediate containers being adapted to contain respectively an auxiliary supply of shaving soap and a main supply of shaving soap, a mirror carried in the end wall of the lowermost container, a suction cup housed within said lowermost container and adapted to be attached to the. side of the container for securing the container to a support to dispose the mirror withhi the line of vision of the shaver when said lowermost container is detached from said intermediate container, and a ring securing togetherthe' bristles es/nee HARRY n.
