Abstract

Stops; checks. - A buffer device for stopping a door without shock when it is slammed comprises a blade spring 2 which is arched so as to project from the door jamb, one end of the spring being fixed and the other end being guided in a socket 3 containing a spring 4. A ball member 5 is attached to a movable end of the spring 2, .and this ball member is seated against the coil spring 4. The mount is L- shaped in cross section. Two or more checks may be fitted to each door.
