Abstract

238,539. Lotte, L. P. C. Aug. 18, 1924, [Convention date]. Endless-track vehicles. -An annular track or tyre for vehicle wheels comprises an outer tyre 2 considerably larger than the ordinary wheel which rolls inside it, and an independent metallic ring 1 intermediate in size between the tyre and the ring and rolling between them. Holes 6 are made in the ring 1 to assist in cooling it, and the tyre 2 is hollowed at 5 to increase the air space for cooling purposes. The rubber or other tyre 2 has shoulders 3, 4 to guide the ring 1, and a flexible metallic band 9 may be provided in the groove of the tyre to strengthen it.
