Water-tube boilers.-A water-tube boiler comprises three upper and two lower drums, the upper drums being connected by steam tubes 6 and water tubes 7. The lower drum 4 is connected to all the upper drums, and the lower drum 5 is connected only to the upper drum 3 by two sets of tubes passing on either side of a partition 11 and entering the drum 3 on both sides of the partition 8. Baffles are provided to direct the combustion gases along a path indicated by the arrows f<1> - - f<5>. Two such boilers may also be arranged to form a double fronted boiler.
