Abstract
234,743. Ernemann-Werke Akt.-Ges. Oct. 24, 1924, [Convention date]. Lenses. - The constructional length of the lens described in Specification 193,376 is shortened by reducing the length of the third air space. The errors of chromatic correction introduced by this shortening are corrected by increasing the power of the cemented negative lens, whereby the parallel rays incident on the first surface of the first lens are divergent upon emerging from the dispersive lens. The increase in the zonal spherical aberration consequent upon the increase in the power of the negative lens is eliminated by arranging the refractive index of the positive lens to be greater than that of the negative lens.
