Abstract

Lenses.-A soft focus photographic objective is similar in form to the lens described in Specification 22400/10, but differs from it in the thickness of the lenses, the radii of curvature and the separations of the lenses, so that a certain amount of spherical aberration remains uncorrected. The negative lenses arranged between the positive lenses are symmetrical with regard to curvatures and refractive index, and the positive lenses are unsymmetrical, and have a refractive index greater than that of the negative lenses. In the example given by numerical data, the index of refraction for the G-line of all the lenses is the same.
