Abstract
321,078. Lee, H. W., and Kapella, Ltd. Nov. 22, 1928. Lenses. - A photographic objective corrected for spherical aberration, coma, astigmatism and distortion and also having substantially the same focus and focal length for all the colours of the visible spectrum, comprises two dispersive menisci between two collective lenses. The dispersive lenses are cemented doublets and the collective lenses cemented doublets or triplets, consisting of a dispersive flint glass lens cemented to a crown glass lens or between two such lenses. The glasses are chosen so that the ratio of dispersion of the flint glasses for the rays F and G' of the spectrum to that for the rays C and F does not differ by more than 3 per cent from the corresponding ratio for the crown glasses. Numerical data are given in the Specification for a lens having an aperture of F/2 and an angular flat field of 40‹. Specification 157,040 is referred to.
