Superheating by hot liquids.-Steam is superheated or reheated between the stages of expansion by means of a heat carrier which vaporizes at a temperature above the desired steam temperature and yields its latent heat to the steam at constant temperature. Mercury, naphthalene or aniline may be used as the heat carrier.
