Abstract

234,254. Crump, J. T. April 26, 1924. Latches, sliding.-A latch bolt 1 for vehicle doors is operated from one side of the door by a pivoted lever handle 14, Fig. 4, having a finger 13, Figs. 4 and 5, adapted to depress one arm of a bell-crank lever 10, the other arm 12, Fig. 6, of which bears against a shoulder on the bolt, and from the other side of the door by a handle on the spindle of an ordinary follower 19. The handle 14 is mounted on a pivot 22 in lugs 21 extending from the base-plate 2, and a plate 23 may be mounted on the lugs to cover the hole in the base plate for the finger 13.
