Abstract

234,154. Lea, N., and Radio Communication Co., Ltd. Jan. 19, 1924. Drawings to Specification. Protective arrangements.-A smoothing condenser for reducing ripples or other periodic disturbances in a continuous-current circuit, e.g. the circuit of a thermionic valve oscillator, comprises a number of series-connected units shunted by resistances which maintain a desired distribution of potential across the units. The resistances are inversely proportional to the capacities of the units across which they are connected, and have values preferably not greater than one hundredth part of the estimated values of the leakage resistances of the units. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 224,510.
