Abstract

232,727. Ballantyne Bros. & Co., Ltd., D., and Euman, J. R. Feb. 18, 1924. Creel-frame arrangements; warps, tensioning and guiding.-Extra warp threads for selvedges &c. are passed from bobbins on the pegs 8, Figs. 1 and 2, of a creel through the perforations 14, Fig. 3, in the spaced bars 10, 11 of a hook, next between two guiding-pins 16 positioned in selected perforations in bars 15, then between a flanged roller 18 and a padded roller 19 slidably mounted on respective spindles 17, 20 and next around the bars 25 of a tension device including discs 23, 24 interconnected by bars, a spring- controlled plunger 27 being caused to engage one of several perforations in the disc 3. The warp threads finally pass around the beam 28 to the healds. The bars 10 are fixed but the bars 11 are carried by members slidable in brackets 12 when it is desired to form a lease. The roller 19 is pressed against the roller 18 by springs.
