Abstract
371,062. Knitting-machines. MURMANN, S. P., 20, Niels Ebbensvej, Copenhagen. Jan. 26, 1931, No. 2585. Convention date, Jan. 28, 1930. [Class 74 (ii).] The thread guide bars 4; 5 of a warp machine having parallel needle beds are moved alternately to the left and right by means of discs 36, each disc having a projection 38 thereon, so arranged that one thread guide bar remains at rest while the other is in operation. The needles 12 of one bed 7 are actuated by a crank 46 and rods 47, 48, 50, 51, 53, and the needles of the other bed 6 are actuated by links 56 .. 62 from the rod 51 in such manner that one set of needles is idle while the other set is operative. The threads before passing through the guides in the bars 4, 5 are passed through pivoted feeler members, so that when a thread breaks a feeler falls to stop the machine.
