Abstract

281,903. Sallmann, G. A. Feb. 19, 1927. Yarns, warping and beaming.- Threads from cops 1 on a frame 2 pass through tension devices 6 to "dents " 3, 4 and to the reel 5. The threads pass directly from the reel 5 to a beam of a knitting machine for making stockings &c. Each tension device comprises a reel 9, Fig. 2, which is mounted on a pin 8 in a bracket 7 secured to the cop holder and is braked by an adjustable spring 10. The warp thread a passes through an opening 13, Fig. 3, in a "pigs tail" hook 12 and, after passing several times round the reel 9, it passes through the hook, 14 to the dent 3.
