Abstract

232,403. Richardson, H. April 7, 1924. Screw and worm conveyers for moving bags of flour &c. slowly from one position to another in order that they can be manually operated upon during transit, comprise two sets of rollers 5a, 5b, arranged to form a cradle, which are rotated in opposite directions and provided with spiral ribs 8 of opposite hand. The rollers are geared together at the end 9 of the framework and at the other end rest on idler wheels 11. The bags pass from the conveyer on to a curved shoot 15. The rollers may be stopped by hand and/or footcontrolled means.
