Abstract

231,978. Haynes, F. H. Feb. 6, 1924. Inductances.- A coil 4 is shaped to a permanent spiral form by winding on a former and is then threaded on to one or more insulating strips 3 provided with holes 1 separated so as to space the turns. A multilayer coil is made by preparing two or more spirals of different diameter and threading them on to strips provided with two or more rows of holes and finally connecting the ends of the spirals. The coils may be mounted on plug and socket connectors.
