Abstract

230,182. Wrigley, F. Dec. 6, 1923. Securing bags, special means for. - In a collapsable paper bag of the kind in which the walls are creased at the mouth so that the bag presents a rectangular or similar formation when open, the walls are stiffened round the mouth bv a strip 18, the side walls serving to retain the mouth open. The creases are m groups of three so that two opposing walls move towards each other when the bag is collapsed. One wall may be extended to form a flap 19 which is adapted to cover the mouth of the bag and creased to correspond with one or more of the creases of the bag. A carrying-cord 29 passes through holes 28 in the side walls and flap, so that by pulling on the cord the flap is drawn over the closed mouth and is retained in position by the weight of the bag. The holes 28 are arranged in groups of three, which register when the bag is closed.
