Abstract

229,921. Morgan, W. G., and Morlaw, Ltd. June 20, 1924. Trees and stretchers.-In a boot tree or stretcher of the kind provided with holes 7 for the reception of detachable bunnion or corn pieces 9, the pieces 9 are provided with resilient shanks 8 of a spring-sided U-form. The ends 10 of the sides of the shank are secured to the piece 9 by rivets 11 so that the closed curved end of the shank is outwards. The sides of the shank are preferably curved to conform to the shape of the holes. 7. The tree or stretcher illustrated comprises toe and heel portions 1, 4 united by toggle links 2, 3 with adjusting means 5, 6.
