Abstract
229,685. Duquesne, A., and Duquesne, P. Feb. 20, 1924, [Convention date]. Pide fabrics. -In weaving multicoloured carpets, tapestries &c. wherein a pile warp thread 1, Fig. 1, is crossed from one side to the other of the corresponding ground warp thread g and is then looped over a pile wire or over a weft thread to form a velvet stitch or loop constituting the pile, the warp thread 1 after forming pile is crossed under the ground warp thread g and along with the other pile-forming warp threads of its group is looped over and secured by a first weft a, the same pile warp thread 1 or some other pile warp thread being then passed alone over a second weft thread b. In a modification, Fig. 2, pile is formed ab both sides of the fabric.
