Compound-lever apparatus; pendulum-weight apparatus.-In an automatic weighing-scale of the kind in which the action of the load is transmitted to an indicating system by means of a flexible band acting on a rectifying cam, the indicating system comprises a hand or pointer, an upwardly-directed toothed sector movable with the hand or pointer and a light auxiliary pointer actuated by a pinion which rests on the sector. In the form shown, the scale pan l is supported on compound levers m, n coupled by a flexible band a to a rectifying cam b and pendulum d. A toothed quadrant f on the cam shaft carries a pointer k which indicates units of weight against a scale j carried by a stationary dial i. The quadrant f actuates a pinion g resting on the teeth of the quadrant and carrying a pointer h for indicating on the dial subdivisions of the scale j. A second pointer h may be arranged at the other side of the dial i. In a modification, the, pointer k instead of being on the quadrant f, may be fixed to one of the levers m, n. In further modifications the pointers and their dials may move in opposite directions.
