Abstract

228,552. Bleret, L. J. Feb. 2, 1924, [Convention date]. Vehicle lamps; lantern screens.-In a vehicle lamp in which the upwardly directed rays of light may be intercepted by a pivoted screen 2<1>, the screen is forced into its operative position by a spring 5 acting directly on the screen and is raised by means of a cord 7 from rotary ratchet mechanism. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also states that the screen is reflecting and may be mounted on pivoted links or fixed. In the latter case, the shade 2, Fig. 1 (Cancelled), embraces the upper half of the periphery of the lamp casing 1 and extends downwardly substantially to the horizontal axis of the lamp. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
