Ventilators; valves and valve apparatus; ventilating conduits, passages, and pipes, arrangements and adaptations of.-An air-directing device for use in connection with ventilating or airsupply systems comprises a two-part bearing ring 6<a>, 6b rotatably mounted in a grooved coaming 2 secured by bolts 3 over a circular opening in the wall 1 of the air trunk A. A cylinder 4 with through passage 5 and operating handle 16 is carried by the bearing ring so as to rotate about its horizontal axis. A flange 9<a> on the part 6<a> of the bearing ring allows of regulation of the air supply.
