Abstract

228,349. Hall, F. H. Feb. 9, 1924. Vehicle windows; frames; glazing windows.- Windows glazed with celluloid or like material. The, celluloid &c. is riveted at or near the middle of each side to a resilient frame 2 which allows contraction of the celluloid, the corners of which are left free. The frame 2 is secured by corner screws 11 to a rigid flanged frame, spacing washers being placed on the screws, which pass through enlarged holes in the celluloid to allow relative movement. A clamp, shown in Fig. 3, may be used for putting an initial strain on the frame 2 by means of screws 6 passing through upturned lugs 5 on the arms of a cross-piece. The celluloid may be secured to a spring-pressed bar slidably mounted on a frame in any suitable manner.
