Abstract

251,400. England, E. C. G., and England (Motor Bodies), Ltd., G, March 17, 1925. Sheds for use as garages are formed with the whole of the top and some or all of the sides as a single unit, or as two units, adapted to be swung to open and close the garage. The body portion 8 may be mounted to swing on a horizontal pivot 9 secured to a floor plate, perforated projections 12 on the body engaging guide-rods 11 and a spring 13 being interposed to assist the raising. The horizontal pivot may be positioned along the top edge of the back of the garage instead of along the bottom edge. In a further modification, the body may be formed in two portions pivoted about vertical axes 22, 23, Fig. 4, or a single vertical axis, in which case the line of division is along a diagonal.
