Abstract

228,318. Young, J., and Young, W. Jan. 3, 1924. Belt fastenings for use with hinge-joint pins of buffalo hide &c. are formed from flat, oval or halfround metal strip with rounded edges so that the eyes of the fastenings will not cut into the joint pin. Each fastening is formed by bending a strip of metal A', Fig. 7, to the form shown in Fig. 1, the points D, D<1> being oppositely inclined and bent at the full width of the strip. The inner point D may be short so that only the outer point D<1> passes through and is clenched over the belt.
