Abstract

228,045. Schmidt, J. G. April 24, 1924. Air-pressure sprayers.-A combined spray and paint brush comprises a. brush member which is adjustable in a lateral direction relative to the spray member. In the construction shown two paint brushes 27 are adjustably secured by setscrews 28 in longitudinal slots formed in a bracket 23 which is adjustably clamped by a nut 24 to the handle of the device. The spray member comprises a reservoir 2 for paint or other liquid with an inlet 5, and a compressed-air chamber 3 with an inlet 4. The reservoir 2 is formed with openings fitted with nipples 7, which project through openings in the chamber 3 and are surrounded by detachable nozzle 10. Compressed air is conveyed through spaces between the nozzles 10 and the nipples 7 and together with the paint passes out through openings 13 in the nozzles.
