Abstract

227,915. Spiller, H. W., and Smith & Sons (Motor Accessories), Ltd., S. Oct. 24,1923. Spray carburettors.-Nozzles 12, fed through a fuel conduit 11, discharge into separate air ducts 18 - - 21 formed in a fixed block 22, the outlets 24 - - 27 of the ducts being close together and facing the intake end of the main delivery conduit 28 controlled by a throttle valve 15. The outlets are at different levels and are uncovered in succession bv a suction-actuated sleeve 29 sliding over the block. Additional air may be admitted to the ducts through passages 16 controlled by a ring 17. A nozzle 13 supplies a by-pass channel 14. Some of the ducts mav have additional delivery mouths as at 31, 32, Fig. 5.
