Casting machines; metal-pouring, moulds.-A machine for centrifugally casting pipes has a lined water-cooled spout for delivering the molten metal from a ladle to the centrifugal mould, the lining of the spout being held in position by the cooling pipes. The mould 11 has a water-cooling service 15 and is driven by belt from a motor 16, rollers 12 being provided to form a bearing for the mould. The spout 21 is lined with fire-brick or cast-iron blocks which are held in place bv cooling pipes 29, Fig. 3, the latter being connected at the outer end and having water delivered to them by a telescopic pipe. The spout is carried by rollers 25 and is traversed slowly through the mould as the metal is delivered, by a hydraulic ram 23. A shoot 35 constantly engages the lining of the spout to clear obstructions and receives the molten metal from a ladle carried by a shaft 47 which may be rocked by a rope wound on a drum 41 driven through worm-gearing by a motor 37.
