Couplins, disconnectible; with valves.-Means for coupling a grease gun to the usual nipple a on the part to be lubricated comprises a member h provided with an extension b<11> at right angles thereto containing a spring-pressed cup leather d, adapted to make fluid-tight contact with said nipple, formed with a central orifice d<1>, which, when the apparatus is not in use, is hermetically covered by a leaf-spring f secured on the inner face of a slide c<1>. The slide c<1> is mounted in a block c, formed integral with the extension b<11> and transversely thereto, the grooves of which are machined exactly to receive a bead a<1> on the nipple a. The slide and block are perforated, as shown in Fig. 3, with a circular orifice a<111>, so that, when the union b is positioned to receive the nipple a through said orifice a<111>, the periphery of the bead a<1> will contact with the slide c'. In the working position, Fig. 1, movement of the union b, in an opposite direction to the arrow F until the orifices a<111> in the slide and block coincide, will cause the nipple to operate the slide thus closing the packing orifice d' and allowing the union to be detached therefrom.
