Spray burners.-The walls of the whirling chamber b of an atomizer suitable for use in a burner consuming liquid fuel under pressure consists of equiangular spiral surfaces c<1>, c<2>, c<3> connecting tangential inlet channels a. The spiral surfaces are of such an angle as to follow closely the natural whirlpath of the incoming liquid streams. The whirling chambers may be formed in the upper part of a straining-device p arranged in the fuel conduit o. A plate s in which the spraying orifice d is formed is secured to the conduit o above the straining-device p by a nut engaging threads t. The Provisional Specification states that ribs or vanes may be provided to maintain the streams in correct position in the whiiling chamber.
