Abstract

223,643. Edman, G. H. July 23, 1923. Yarn supply.-In a tensioning-device for the yarn, comprising a pivoted arm A connected to one end of a spring B which raises the arm when slack occurs, the point of attachment A<4> of the spring is such that its power is exerted upon the arm through a progressively increasing leverage as the arm rises so as to excercise a gradually increasing tension on the yarn as slack accumulates, the other end of the spring B being secured to an adjustable arm C rotatable about the same axis as the arm A.
