Abstract

223,442. West, F. J. Dec. 27, 1923. Heating charge.-Air supplied to the induction pipe is heated by passing into a heater 5 through a space between the latter and the exhaust manifold 3 to which the heater is attached, notches being provided in the edge of the heater if necessary. It passes out through a pipe 19 and a valve 11 lifted by changes in temperature.
