Disc and like plate and ball and roller bearing hinges.-A knuckle joint particularly for artifical legs is provided with a stop which can be adjusted to compensate for wear consisting of a plate 7 secured to one member 1 of the joint, either end 6, 6<a> of which can be used for engaging the stop 5 on the other member 2. The plate 7 is secured to the member 1 by screws 8, 8<a> and the distance between the end 6<a> and screw 8<a> is slightly greater than the distance between the end 6 and screw 8 so that when the stops 5 and 6 become worn the plate 7 can be reversed to bring the end 6<a> into contact with the stop 5. The joint may be provided with ball bearings.
