Piston apparatus for discharging receptacles.- A grease gun comprises a cylinder a and a piston d is adapted to be connected either directly to a wheel hub or to a grease cup. For attachment to a hub, the cap g carrying the nozzle is removed and the cylinder is screwed on to the' hub by means of the internal thread c. For application to a grease cup, a cap m is detached from an internally threaded sleeve k on the nozzle h, and the sleeve is screwed on to the grease cup. The piston may have an external thread engaging the thread c of the cylinder, and may curry a nut e by means of which it may be rotated by a spanner &c. If the cup has an internal thread, the sleeve k is removed and the nozzle h is screwed into the cup. One end of the sleeve may be wider or narrower than the nozzle, and additional nipples may be provided to suit grease cups of various sizes.
