[Class 89 (ii)] An arrangement for fastening the cranks of a bicycle to the spindle and for similar purposes, comprises a cylindrical cotter a with a tapered flat on its side which is shorter in length than the hole passing completely through the crank, and a separate plug or plugs h, f, screwed or otherwise, serving to close the open end or ends of the hole.
