Abstract

221,507. Lorenz Akt.-Ges., C. Sept. 7, 1923, [Convention date]. Transformers.-The cores of frequency transformers are made of sheets of metal, e.g. nickel steel, not exceeding 0.02 millimetres in thickness. When the transformer is immersed in oil the sheets may be loosely placed together without employing solid insulating materials, the oil being driven between the sheets by capillary forces. Specification 194,007 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that alloys of iron with metalloids, e.g. silicon, may be used. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as 'accepted.
