Alloys.-Cast iron alloys made by the pearlite casting process described in Specifications 147,933 and 210,091 contain metals such as nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and the like commonly added in the manufacture of steels. For example, the cast iron may contain 4 per cent of carbon and silicon together, and 0.6 per cent of nickel.
