Abstract

221,361. Donaldson, W. R. Sept. 28, 1923. Couplings, disconnectible.-Comprises a quick detachable connection for connecting a flexible pipe to a tyre valve. The body part 10 houses a plate 14 fitted with a central boss 16 having a bore 17 ending at the lower end of the boss in lateral holes, a packing washer 19 held in place by a screwed thimble 22 and a rotating carrier ring 25 held in place by a screwed cap 26. A chuck 30 is supported on the plate 25 and comprises pivoted members 31 carrying jaws 32 threaded to engage the tyre valve stem and normally urged to close together by springs 37 housed in the ring 25.
