Abstract

288,671. Riley, S. Dec. 20, 1926. Storing under pressure. - A bulb a of compressed inert gas, e.g. carbon dioxide, is placed in a holder b into which is screwed a connector c fitted with a pin d which pierces the bulb and connected by a flexible tube e with a screwed nipple for attachment to the stem of the valve g, of a tyre, air cushion, &c. to, be inflated. The holder is semi-circular in section, and cupped to receive the end of the bulb; the neck of the bulb is packed in the connector by a rubber lining h. The nipple f may be attached directly to the connector c, dispensing with the flexible tube. Several bulbs may be provided in the apparatus, operated simultaneously or successively, the several housings having a commonflexible connection.
